I am proud to have finished the first painting I began here. When you do the same show every day, having a another creative outlet heals the grooves that the repetition creates in your soul. The painting is for my door to signal my home. The Japanese kanji are the kanji I use for my name, which spells “sha-iro.” It is about the closest you can get with no L in the language. It means something to the affect of one in a million colors. I like to think of myself as a human paint pallette. We all are, but I think often we forget to pick up the brush, or to experiment with new colors and patters. It feels great to play that way.
